Why I built Moodator
Moodator was born from something I personally lived through. A few years ago, I could feel my mental health deteriorating because of work. That dull, persistent fatigue was affecting my mood, my relationship with my family, and the quality of my personal time.
I was exhausted. I was losing my bearings. I felt unhappy in my professional life — but I couldn't put it into words or clearly see how bad things had gotten.
In building this app, I wanted to create the tool I wish I'd had back then: something simple and daily that helps identify the early signs of burnout before it becomes irreversible, and to take preventive action as early as possible.
The mission
Moodator is not a medical tool. It's a self-awareness tool: a barometer that turns your daily feelings into readable, long-term data. The goal is simple — help you spot the signals before they become warnings.
In less than a minute a day, you log your key indicators (sleep, work life, personal life, physical activity, diet, screen time…). The barometer evolves, the trend takes shape, and the AI comment gives you a personalised reading of your situation.
Built with Claude Code
Moodator was built entirely by me, in PHP, with the help of Claude Code — Anthropic's AI development tool. This project is proof that in 2025, a developer can design and ship a full, multilingual app with integrated AI in record time thanks to an AI language model.
Claude Code was my co-pilot throughout: architecture, business logic, Anthropic API integration, i18n system, URL routing, CSS. A full human-AI collaboration from start to finish.
Moodator does not replace medical or psychological care. If you think you are in advanced burnout or going through serious distress, consult your doctor or call a mental health helpline.
